With a little imagination and a lot of passion you can build an airplane simulator like this aviation enthusiasts from La Baule, France(www.mapica.org).
This mini Gee Bee simulators works for children up to 5-6 years old but it`s builders are working on a bigger one, a Brewster Buffalo for children up to 10-12 years old.
To build this simulator they have used various salvaged parts from a hospital bed.
The plane can rotate an is moving up to 45 degrees in all directions.
Inside the plane there are the surface controls and even a control panel, as you can see in the following picture.
The engine roaring is done through two speakers (one inside and one in the exhaust pipe). The propeller is a plastic disc that slowly rotates. An electric fan simulates the wind.
I don`t know how long it took to build this airplane simulator but I am sure all the work and time invested in this aviation project was rewarded by the smile from the children faces.
